Pedro Martinez wanted to be a doctor but worked as a mechanic before finding fame pitching in the MLB. Though he’s known for having a fiery temper, he says the biggest regret of his career is throwing Yankees bench coach Don Zimmer to the ground in the infamous 2003 playoff brawl. He was fined $50,000 for that incident and received death threats from New York fans. However, he still maintains a grudge against Jorge Posada for insulting his mother which supposedly started the 2003 fight.
